Dragon Fruit - tropical fruit
The Dragon Fruit also known as the Pitaya or Pitahaya fruit is a wonderful exotic fruit which grows in Central America and Asia such as Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand and some other contries with similar climate.
Dragon Fruit is a fruit of cactus tree. Dragonfruit has light sweet taste and beautiful colors of skin. It has a lot of water and various minerals with varied nutritional ingredients such as: carotene, fiber, protein, fat, riboflavin, vitamin C, vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin B3, phosphorus, calcium, niacin, iron, ashes. Dragonfruit is very tasty and healthy.
Dragon fruit has a creamy flesh of white and red color with small black seeds inside. The skin on pitahaya fruit has various colors: pink, red, yellow.
You can eat dragon fruit in many ways. You can slice it and eat like papaya or just eat by a spoon. You can also add fresh flesh of pitaya fruit into fruit salads or even make a fresh juice.
